This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP

The Role

The Curriculum, Assessment and Strategic Policy division is seeking to appoint a qualified, highly motivated and committed Principal Consultant, Secondary - Curriculum and Assessment with specialised expertise in teaching one or more of the following languages: Hindi, Punjabi or Tamil.

This role will require the successful applicant to manage the course syllabuses for Hindi, Punjabi and Tamil and to provide leadership for the development and review of curriculum, assessment and standards support materials in Languages Years 7 to 12, monitor and review the implementation and delivery of curriculum, courses and course standards, and provide high-level curriculum expertise in the development of quality ATAR course examinations and marking keys.

The Principal Consultant will facilitate consultation and collaborative processes between school systems/sector, schools, and other stakeholder organisations to share ideas and devise common approaches on the implementation of the Authority’s policies and procedures. The Principal Consultant will manage contract writers and associated physical resources, if required, in a manner that meets legislated requirements and provides executive support for advisory committees when required. Suitable applicants will provide high level advice, correspondence and briefings to the Minister, the Board, the Executive Director, education systems and sector as required, and develop and implement moderation processes for the secondary years of schooling and organise, facilitate and coordinate seminars, school visits and information sessions for staff from schools, regions, professional associations, systems and sectors as required.
