We are establishing a 24-month appointment pool for vacancies that may arise. We may offer permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.
We currently have 2 part-time permanent positions for immediate filling – one in Derby (0.50 FTE) and another in Broome (0.50 FTE).
Lecturing staff employed in 2025 are eligible to receive a Temporary Regional Incentive of $15,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at NRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in the location for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.

About the Position
We are looking for an inspirational lecturer who is passionate about passing their vocation onto the workforce of the future.
This position will be delivering
- CUA20420 Certificate II in Aboriginal Arts and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts
- CUA10320 Certificate I in Visual Arts
- CUA20720 Certificate II in Visual Arts
- CUA31120 Certificate III in Visual Arts
To be successful, you will have the following…
- Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (minimum of 5 years)
- Relevant vocational qualifications and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed.
- It is preferred applicants hold a qualification Certificate I, II, III in Visual Arts or equivalent.
- People who possess relevant industry experience are encouraged to register.
It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.
Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply.
