About the role
Main Roads is seeking a proactive and experienced Records Services Supervisor to join our dynamic Information Management team in the Perth Metropolitan region. We’re looking for a strong leader who is customer-focused and skilled at managing employee behaviours, performance, and development, while fostering a culture of innovation and forward-thinking.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in guiding your team with clear direction, empowering them to deliver high-quality records management services across the organisation. You will be responsible for creating an environment where ideas are welcomed, and continuous improvement is at the forefront of everything you do. Your ability to adapt and stay agile will be key as you navigate change and leverage new ideas to improve service delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of records services and operations, including the management of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Lead and manage employee behaviours, performance, and professional development, ensuring a high-performing team.
- Provide clear direction to your team, ensuring tasks and expectations are understood, with a focus on driving outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies, plans, procedures, and related documentation (e.g., Retention and Disposal Schedules, Disaster Recovery Plans).
- Encourage and foster innovation, bringing forward new ideas that challenge the status quo and contribute to ongoing improvements.
- Maintain flexibility and be open to change, driving an agile approach to records management practices and technologies.
- Develop and maintain records classification systems, and manage the storage and archiving of records in line with approved standards.
- Ensure the security, access, and safe custody of confidential and legal records.
- Identify opportunities for business improvements through innovative records management practices that enable ongoing efficiencies in service delivery.
