We are establishing a 24-month appointment pool for vacancies that may arise.
We may offer permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.
We currently have a full-time temporary role for up to 8 months to be filled immediately, at our Broome Campus.
Lecturing staff employed in 2025 are eligible to receive a Temporary Regional Incentive of $15,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at NRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in the location for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.

About the Position
We are seeking a passionate Lecturer to deliver high-quality vocational education and training within the Community Services portfolio. This role involves facilitating engaging learning experiences, conducting competency-based assessments, and supporting students across a variety of settings, including classrooms, workplaces, and online environments.
As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in preparing students for meaningful careers in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work, and Family Violence by sharing your expertise and industry insights.
What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive industry experience (minimum five years) in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work, or Family Violence, or a strong background in lecturing within these fields.
- Relevant vocational qualifications at or above Diploma level.
- Strong digital literacy and confidence in using online learning tools to enhance student engagement.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to create a supportive and structured learning environment.
- A genuine passion for mentoring and supporting students, fostering their growth and success.
- The ability to embed cultural safety in education delivery to support diverse student needs.
- A deep understanding and commitment to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and health (highly regarded).
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is preferred; however, candidates who are actively working towards or willing to undertake this qualification are encouraged to apply.
