We are seeking to appoint suitably experienced and enthusiastic people to the position of Dental Therapist to join our Dental Health Services (DHS) team.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency..

This is an Extended recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2025.

Attraction and Retention Incentive (ARI)

An ARI ranging from $6000 to $10,000 pa. has been approved and is payable to Dental Therapists who are engaged in regional Western Australia before 30 June 2025. The ARI is payable in three instalments subject to meeting eligibility requirements. The ARI will apply to positions based in the South West, Great Southern, Wheatbelt, Goldfields, Kimberley, Pilbara, and Midwest. For more information please contact Keeleigh O’Regan on 08 9313 0555.

What is our Dental Therapist role?

In this role, you will provide dental care for enrolled children in Dental Therapy Centres. Other duties include:

  • Maintaining patient records and central management records in accordance with DHS instructions.
  • Supervising and giving guidance to Dental Assistants and student Dental Assistants.
  • Providing information and presentations on oral health to individuals, schools, community groups and health professionals and implementing preventive programs in community groups.

Please note positions that arise could be located in country and/ or metropolitan clinics.
