Joseph Banks Secondary Colleg (SC) is an Independent Public School in the suburb of Banksia Grove, approximately 40 kilometres from the Perth CBD. The Role
Successful applicants will ideally be passionate and dedicated educators, innovative practitioners, and highly motivated to work in a collaborative team environment. They will provide students with a purposeful and engaging learning experience to develop their skills, knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Drama and English.
Successful applicants should have the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. Applicants should have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and able to teach students of varying ability levels across Year 7 – 12 in a highly engaging manner. Strong knowledge and skills in the delivery of Senior Secondary Drama and English courses is highly desirable.
Successful applicants will ideally possess a repertoire of teaching strategies to engage students, ideally having knowledge of and experience in, a range of instructional strategies and tactics. The College has state of the art facilities and equipment and offers a wide variety of courses from Years 7-12 in the Drama context.
Successful applicants will ideally be teachers who engage their students and challenge them to achieve their personal best through innovative learning opportunities and are able to teach students of varying ability levels, differentiating the curriculum, in a highly engaging manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment will be well regarded as well as a willingness to engage in professional learning and liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks.
