About the role
Are you experienced in delivering Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy skills to those requiring support within the community?
You will motivate and guide Participants through high-quality training in language, literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, and competency-based skills, while also offering support in employment-related areas.
To be successful, you will have the following…
- A skilled educator with strong digital literacy, flexible teaching strategies, and a person-centred approach. Committed to delivering high-quality, culturally competent training that empowers individuals for employment and societal participation.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivery and assessment of foundation skills, using the ACSF or equivalent. (minimum 5 years)
- Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (minimum of 5 years)
- A specialist adult Language Literacy and Numeracy qualification, TESOL qualification, TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice, or a higher qualification in adult education or education, such as TAE80113 Graduate Diploma of Adult Language Literacy and Numeracy Practice, Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Education, or higher; and
- It is preferred that applicants already possess a TAE40122 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 (including units TAELLN411 and TAESS502) or higher; or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.

Lecturing staff employed in 2025 are eligible to receive a Temporary Regional Incentive of $15,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at NRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in the location for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.

Other Conditions and Eligibility
Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
To be eligible for appointment Australian Citizenship, relevant visa or permanent residency is required.
