Eligibility to Apply: To be
eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa
(for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen,
permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in
Australia (for permanent appointments).
Whilst this selection process will initially
be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill
other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In
addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate
the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may
also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain
valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised
delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: Provides
assessment, integrated care and case management of metropolitan
based clients with complex psycho-social needs and challenging
behaviours presenting a high-risk of exposing others to the risk of
HIV infection. Provides consultancy advice and professional
development on case management to country regions. Provides
education, counselling and psycho-social support on HIV to clients
and their significant others. Liaises with a range of service
providers and clinicians to plan, implement and monitor care plans
for clients. Investigates allegations of HIV positive persons
knowingly infecting others. Provides State-wide training and
development to workers in primary health care and public health
services on case management plans and case
support.
