Comet Bay College (CBC) has a genuine and proven commitment to support the professional growth of our teachers. Each staff member has the opportunity to join the Advanced Instructional Intelligence Program (AIIP) and be provided with five days of professional learning to build teachers capacity in the classroom. The College also has a successful and highly competitive Australian Football Specialist Program. The Visual and Performing Arts also offer extension classes in Drama, Dance and Art to selected students in Years 7 to 10. The Role
CBC are seeking to employ two full time permanent Mathematics Teachers ready for Term 2, 2025. CBC is seeking suitably qualified, passionate and committed Mathematics Teachers to join our friendly team. At CBC we strive for excellence by nurturing individual abilities, providing meaningful opportunities and fostering positive respectful relationships.
The successful applicant will ideally have experience teaching Mathematics across all Years, 7 to 12 and the ability to teach Senior School Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is preferred but not essential. Ability and a willingness to work in the College Gifted and Talented and Academic Extension Program is also desirable.
To be suitable for this role, you will ideally be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment, as well as displaying an engaging and energetic teaching style. You should reflect and assess the effectiveness of your teaching practice using a variety of methods available within the College, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential. With effective interpersonal skills, you should work closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students..
