This is an exciting senior role available in the Information and System Performance Directorate with the opportunity to be a part of a team working on large, system-wide health data collections, addressing key priorities focused on delivering patient-centred, high quality and financially sustainable healthcare across the State.
About the role
The Manager, Data Management leads a dynamic, high-performing and broadly experienced team responsible for the development, implementation and management of core data collections and registries for the WA health system. In so doing the Manager ensures data collected is comprehensive, contemporary and fit for purpose in continuing to meet local and national requirements.
The Manager, Data Management provides expert advice to the Director and Senior Executive regarding current, evolving and emerging data management issues and trends to support high-level decision making and system wide projects with an essential data management component. Additionally, this position leads data management discussions and initiatives at a State and national level, working closely with clinical, executive and administrative teams on strategic priorities and robust programs of mutual interest.
The successful candidate will join the wider team within the Information and Performance Governance Unit at an exciting time, with opportunities to help drive and shape the Department’s workplans and outcomes, both immediately and in the coming years.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/10/2025.
