About the role: 

The Laboratory Assistant key responsibilities are:

  • Receives, prioritises, registers, labels, and prepares incoming laboratory specimens.
  • Generates, sorts, files and distributes laboratory request forms and reports.
  • Provides telephone enquiry service.
  • In accordance with laboratory procedures, safely handles potentially infectious biological material for pathology testing.
