The PoweringWA Branch is leading WA’s energy transformation and coordinating delivery of the critical infrastructure we need for a low-emissions, reliable power supply across the State. We’re fast-tracking renewable energy projects, working in partnership with government, industry, and regional communities to build a sustainable future for WA.
We are expanding our team here at PoweringWA, and we have a Manager Communication position available. We are looking for a passionate, results-oriented professional to join us and make a real impact on the future of energy. The role
In this position, you will drive the delivery of PoweringWA’s brand and communications activities, and facilitate public awareness and understanding around Western Australia’s energy transition.
Your experience in managing communications for large or complex organizations will be key to your success in this role. As Manager – Communications at PoweringWA, you will craft digital communication strategies and take responsibility for their effective implementation, ensuring that all the organisations’ communications ultimately support its broader mission.
Drawing on your strong communication skills and experience, you will create and review content that is tailored to different and diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and impact. You will work collaboratively with internal teams, government bodies, and industry partners to deliver campaigns and initiatives that support Western Australia’s energy transition.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancies in PoweringWA, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department (including within Energy Policy WA) for the next 12 months, from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.

- Proven track record leading and managing contemporary communications for a large and or complex organisation.
