The Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery (OMTID) was established as a centre of excellence for major project delivery across the Transport Portfolio and has championed sustainability in our projects since its inception. Why we need you
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join our dynamic Sustainability Team, where you will play a key role in supporting major infrastructure projects across the state. This position offers invaluable exposure to a wide range of sustainability challenges, providing you with the opportunity to lead innovative solutions in the field.
As a Sustainability Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for advising and implementing sustainability initiatives on major rail and road projects. You’ll collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to evaluate emerging technologies, assess their feasibility, and integrate them into the delivery of major projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Advising on sustainability best practices and identifying opportunities to improve material, energy, and water efficiency.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the integration of sustainable solutions and assess feasibility.
- Supporting sustainability outcomes across various impact areas, contributing to continuous improvement and corrective actions.
In this role, you’ll develop a deep understanding of implementing sustainable outcomes on major projects. You will work closely with regulators, industry partners, contractors, and consultants, helping to drive progress toward more sustainable infrastructure solutions.
