About The Roles:
The Director Operations Group 1 (OG1) and the Director Operations Group 2 (OG2) lead, direct and are accountable for their respective Divisions within RevenueWA and are required to operate at a strategic level, setting long term directions and objectives for the revenue business.
The roles provide expert advice to, and liaises with the Commissioner of State Revenue and key stakeholders on matters pertaining to:
- Land tax, debt management, business systems support, and grant and subsidies (OG1).
- Duties, payroll tax, and mineral and petroleum royalties (OG2).
- Technical advice about legislation administered by RevenueWA (OG1 and OG2).
These are leadership roles accountable for embodying Department of Finance’s (Finance) values, as well as contributing to the development, management and achievement of RevenueWA’s strategic and business plans, and Finance’s strategic direction. The Directors OG1 and OG2 will build a culture of innovation and collaboration to enable the best possible delivery of services to our customers.
As a member of the RevenueWA executive team, you will be responsible for leading and planning for the revenue business to meet its outcomes and have overall responsibility and accountability for the Division achieving required outcomes, which includes leading, developing and mentoring staff.
About You:
We are looking for leaders of positive culture who feel inspired to be a part of a values based organisation. You will have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing public policy frameworks, initiatives and strategies in risk-based revenue administration (or a similar field), compliance management and strategic initiatives. You will have a background in service delivery with experience in navigating and managing complex relationships and stakeholder engagement and management.
The leadership context for these positions is a Multiple Area Leader. This means that you will lead teams to achieve the strategic direction of a number of different business areas or key priorities. You will implement operational strategy and take the lead for shaping its short- and medium-term directions. You will contribute strategic value by determining the focus areas for delivery through a broader lens and determine the timing of future growth in your business areas.
