Position Profile: We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Clinical Nurse (CN) to join the Respiratory Medicine Nursing Team. The successful applicant will be working in the Ventilation stream of Respiratory Nursing, within a multi-disciplinary team. The position involves primarily evidence-based clinical work with inpatients and outpatients being treated with non-invasive ventilation, as well as supporting ex-premature infants/children on home oxygen, and their parents/carers. Regular targeted education of PCH staff, patients and their families, in addition to care coordination and equipment and consumables oversight are facilitated by this role.
About the Department/Service /Directorate: The Respiratory and Sleep Service at PCH provides inpatient and outpatient diagnostic services and care for children with respiratory or sleep conditions.
The service comprises: Respiratory Medicine; Respiratory Function Laboratory and the Sleep Disorders Unit
Conditions managed by the team include a range of respiratory conditions such as Asthma, Chronic lung disease, Airway management, Lung Disorders and Cystic Fibrosis.
