Please Note: Salaries will increase as of 15 December 2024 to $93,426 – $120,651 pa, LGA
Lecturing staff employed in 2024 are eligible to receive a Temporary Regional Incentive of $10,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at CRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in Kalgoorlie for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.
Central Regional TAFE is responsible for delivering customer focused, industry aligned training and pathways to higher education to build a skilled, productive and employment ready workforce. About the role
A lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning and conduct assessment in traditional, new and innovative ways to a diverse range of clients. Lecturers will also be involved in the provision of consultancy, information and promotional services to industry, prospective students and community clients. To support this process the TAFE environment offers comprehensive industry-based Training Packages and an underpinning quality system that provides a framework for delivery and assessment.
To be successful in this role you will have current technical knowledge and competencies in the industrial vocation or professional field relevant to this position. The successful applicant will also have at least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to the industrial vocation or professional field relevant to this position. You will have Relevant Tertiary/Industry/Trade Qualification and/or any required license or registration necessary to perform the position as determined by the College
It is preferred that applicants have Experience in Mobile Plant and Heavy Automotive Industries & a Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical / Mobile Plan.
It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher recognised teaching qualification) or can demonstrate progression towards the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
