The Role
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience and knowledge of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Workplace Learning placement and programs. They should be highly organised and motivated and possess excellent communication skills.
The VET Program and Workplace Learning (WPL) Coordinator provides essential support within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) space. This role involves brokering successful partnerships, engaging with stakeholders – such as parents, employers, and Registered Training Organisations, maintaining accurate records. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in facilitating students’ transitions into viable post-school pathways through Secondary Graduation or out-of-school programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain partnerships with industry stakeholders and training organisations.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, employers and staff to support VET & Workplace Learning initiatives.
- Assist in the induction of students in the VET/WPL program.
- Locate appropriate industry placements/activity providers for students.
- Conduct site checks and meetings with prospective employers.
- Conduct workplace learning visits.
- Prepare and distribute relevant correspondence and reports.
- Ensure compliance with VET/WPL regulations and standards.
- Previous experience and knowledge of VET/WPL programs.
- Highly organised and self-motivated with strong time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in administrative tasks and accurate database management.
- Provide support to the Level 4 VET Coordinators.
