We have one permanent full-time position available for an experienced Information Management Officer based at Karrakatta Cemetery.
About you

- You have a good understanding of public sector records management, knowledge of information access and record keeping legislation and experience with managing freedom of information access requests.
- You have experience in using record management systems.

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate person who is passionate about Information Management and Freedom of Information to provide a seamless and high-quality service to internal and external clients.
The Information Management Officer will coordinate all Freedom of Information applications and contribute to the effective management of records and information held by the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board. This will include responsibilities, such as:
- Managing Freedom of Information access applications from start to finish
- Updating the electronic document and record management systems
- Assisting with mailing services, including recording incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and processing accounts
- Provide support to staff to create, search and retrieve files and documents, ensuring effective document handling, storage, retrieval, archival, disposal, audit and tracking of records.
