About Our
Team:
The
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
(CAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice
and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18
years who are experiencing mental health
challenges.
CAHS helps
children grow and thrive and we offer these same
opportunities to the nurses who join our team. Our
team-oriented approach allows for extensive clinical
upskilling, and leadership development opportunities for
nurses of all levels.
About the
Role:
As an
Assistant in Nursing, you work within the
broader multidisciplinary team, assisting with the delivery
of quality patient care under the direction of a Registered
Nurse, within the AIN Scope of Practice.
What you will bring:

Great
communication and interpersonal skills, and able to work
well within a team

Knowledge of safe manual handling procedures; occupational
health and safety principles, including
infection control guidelines
-
Demonstrated
ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to
follow instructions
- Keen
interest in upskilling your clinical skills
Must be
employable as an AIN under the WA Health Assistant in Nursing
Policy via either the AIN (student) or AIN (non-student)
pre-requisite pathway.

selection process will initially be used to fill the above
vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar"
vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this,
should the successful applicant decline or vacate the
advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may
also be selected from this process. Both of these options
remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from
when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment
decision.

Services at CAMHS
Acute CAMHS
services are based at Perth Children’s Hospital and includes
mental health inpatient unit 5A, the Paediatric Psychiatry In
Reach Team, the Eating Disorder Service, and the Gender
Diversity Service.
