This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension.

The Role
The successful applicant will ideally have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with staff, students, parents, and the wider community. The Associate Principal will be an innovative and organised leader with a passion for working with senior school students to enhance learning outcomes for all students.
The position would ideally entail, but is not limited to the following roles and responsibilities:
- Providing whole-school leadership for the implementation of the College 2025-2027 Business Plan (currently in development)
- Utilising information systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting on school performance, which is used to inform planning and decision-making and to ensure accountability for the performance of the school
- Play a significant role in the daily management of staff and student wellbeing
- Collaborate with the Head of Curriculum, Head of Trades, Head of Residence and the Farm Manager to foster a culture of excellence and use professional knowledge and understanding to strengthen a responsive, inclusive and innovative college-based curriculum
- Implementing the context-specific teaching framework which incorporates Explicit Instruction pedagogies and STEM critical thinking processes and practices.
- Use effective change management strategies to assist the college community to accept and develop opportunities for improved service and student outcomes
- Provide strategic direction for staff and model and promote a culture of improvement of professional performance
- Manage the strategic and operational requirements of a Senior Secondary College, inclusive of (but not limited to) timetabling, Reporting to Parents (RtP), Student Information Records System (SIRS), VET, RTO compliance, staff development, performance management and recruitment.
