About the role
The Civil Law Division of Legal Aid WA is on a mission to assist people, particularly those experiencing entrenched disadvantage, who are vulnerable to civil legal problems, to understand their rights, and empower them to achieve just outcomes.
We now need someone who loves working in a dynamic and fast paced environment to provide exceptional executive services to the Civil Law Division Director and Leadership Team, and support them in achieving their mission.
You will manage the Director’s diary and correspondence; coordinate papers, reports, agendas, briefings and presentations; arrange travel and accommodation; and manage HR and financial information.
You will also represent the Director in high level correspondence, including liaising with Ministerial offices, Chief Executive Officers, Freedom of Information requests, and client inquires. You will be the go-to person within the Division for any queries from other Legal Aid WA departments, and from external stakeholders.
About you
This role requires a highly reliable and professional individual who has experience of remaining consistently organised and thinking proactively. You will maintain the smooth running of the Division. You will be required to work autonomously, and so we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate high levels of initiative and can prioritise tasks effectively.
The job can often be fast paced, and so being adept at maintaining high standards of work whilst dealing with competing demands, learning new processes and procedures quickly, and demonstrating a keen eye for detail are all essential requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of confidentiality requirements, as you will often be dealing with confidential information affecting Legal Aid WA and other Government Departments. You must have the natural ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About us and what we can offer you
We offer a strong team working environment, the satisfaction of adding value to the community, and a range of benefits in line with business requirements, which may include professional development opportunities, flexible working and leave arrangements, including opportunities to purchase leave, and a range of health and wellbeing initiatives. click here to learn more about the benefits we offer employees.
