About JTSI

JTSI is the lead agency delivering initiatives on behalf of the WA Government that support the full spectrum of economic activity in Western Australia, from large-scale mining and industrial operations to innovative start-ups and small to medium businesses across the state.
Our office is located beside the Derbarl Yerrigan and down the hill from Kaarta Koomba, a place of great significance for the Whadjuk Noongar peoples for over 40,000 years. We are proud to work on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja.

About the program
The Mila Kaaditj - Aboriginal Career Escalator Undergraduate Program is a scholarship designed for first-year university undergraduates who have successfully completed their first semester of university. This initiative addresses representation for diverse groups and aligns with the Public Sector Commission’s Workforce Diversification and Inclusion Strategy 2020-2025 (WDIS).
The program is initially for one year, with the option to extend for another one to two years, giving you the chance to progress your career with JTSI in the public sector. Upon successful completion of the program and university degree, candidates may be considered for a full-time permanent position at JTSI. Candidates may also apply for other roles within JTSI or the WA public sector, as advertised on the WA government jobs board.

Who are we looking for?
JTSI is looking for undergraduates who are in their first year of study for their bachelor’s degree in 2024 committed to working in an office environment. As a diversity and inclusion initiative, we are targeting applications from:
- Aboriginal individuals (aged 18 and older)
- Those who have completed a minimum of one semester of the first year of their undergraduate degree
We encourage candidates who are studying towards degrees in any of the following fields to apply:
