Position Profile:

Perth Children's Hospital is
seeking a highly motivated and qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist
(CNS) to join our dedicated team in the Endocrinology
Unit.
In this rewarding role, you
will play a pivotal role in:
- Delivering high-quality
patient care for children with , a range of endocrine disorders
including but not limited to thyroid conditions, growth and
puberty disorders, and pituitary
dysfunction.

Overseeing the work of
Clinical Nurses
and providing clinical support to the broader nursing
team.
-
Running nurse-led clinics specializing in specific areas like
thyroid disease and growth disorders.
-
Educating and supporting members of the multidisciplinary team
on the management of these complex
conditions.
-
Leading clinical practice by developing standards, implementing
changes, and initiating research projects.
-
Providing expert consultation to
inpatient
wards,
ICU,
day treatment unit and wider regional
endocrinology management.
You will
be:
- A registered nurse with
extensive experience in paediatrics with a keen
interest in endocrinology.

A strong leader with excellent communication and collaboration
skills.

self-learning

members of the multidisciplinary team.

About the Department/Service
/Directorate:
The Perth
Children's Hospital (PCH) Endocrinology and Diabetes Department
delivers a comprehensive and coordinated service for children and
adolescents across Western Australia. This department brings
together a team of specialists to provide the highest quality care
for young people with diabetes, endocrine (hormonal) disorders, and
weight management challenges.
The
department's endocrinology service addresses both acute and chronic
hormone-related conditions. They offer personalised care plans,
guidance, and education for children with hormone imbalances.
Additionally, they collaborate with other hospital and community
teams to manage hormone issues arising from pre-existing conditions
or treatments.
