This program will see you work in diverse areas, promoting sectors including trade and investment, tourism, the defence industry, international education, science, and innovation.
The Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation, and Safety (DEMIRS) is our interagency partner and together we can offer you shared networking, learning development and rotations through this award-winning interagency graduate program.
We also work with the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER), offering rotations to support the Streamline WA initiative.
About the program
JTSI is offering up to 10 graduate position for the 2025 intake. Graduates from all disciplines are welcome to apply.
The 18-month interagency graduate program aims to build the skills, experience and networks required for a successful and rewarding career in the public sector.
You will have the opportunity to work on statewide projects and initiatives, using your skills and knowledge to help improve the lives of WA communities.
You will be based in one of JTSI’s 6 business groups with a customised rotation plan providing opportunities to work across the agency and at our partner agencies.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for graduates who finished their degree in 2022, 2023 or will have completed it by December 2024. We want graduates with excellent research, analytical and written skills, who are willing to learn and work productively with team members and stakeholders.

- Carrying out research, policy, and project activities to support business objectives, individually and as part of a team
- Writing ministerial and briefing notes
- Providing customer service and advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting initiatives in diverse environments to a gain a holistic view of work in the WA government
