About the Role
Rapid advancements in technology are changing the transport landscape and are creating new challenges and opportunities for Main Roads. The ITS Operations branch is responsible for keeping abreast of changes in the technological environment and implementing and managing ITS solutions that support the overall performance and effective utilisation of the metropolitan road network – learn a bit more about what we do through our video.
About You
We are delivering a number of key projects and initiatives and are seeking an experienced individual with a background in ITS to join the team as an ITS Engineering Manager.
As ITS Engineering Manager you will be responsible for managing technical operations, upgrades, expansion and performance of all ITS at Main Roads in order to improve safety and efficiency of the road network. You will be key in managing the integration of new systems and devices and will identify and provide advice on ‘best practices’ ITS systems and technologies. This role will see you working closely with internal and external stakeholders, as well as liaising with state, national and international road and transport authorities, research agencies and ITS associations.

- Management of mission critical systems including change management of systems and applications
- Project management and/or contract management relating to delivery or management of complex end to end technology solutions
- Building and enhancing stakeholder relationships
- A copy of your current Western Australian ‘C’ Class (car) motor vehicle drivers licence or an approved equivalent
- If applicable to you (not mandatory), a copy of your tertiary qualification in Electrical or Electronic or Computer Systems Engineering or other related discipline
