About The Role:
Provide strategic and technical leadership and direction on mechanical engineering aspects of non-residential government buildings to contribute to the delivery of high quality, fit-for-purpose, value-for money efficient and sustainable buildings for government, maintained and operated to the optimum level.
Establish and promulgate appropriate design standards, briefs and guidelines for mechanical engineering components of non-residential government buildings. Provide technical expertise in the management of engineering design, documentation and review frameworks to ensure good design outcomes are achieved. Provide building services design reviews, peer reviews and specialist mechanical services advice to specific projects.
About You:
You are passionate about the quality of building services and their maintenance, in particular mechanical services. You are knowledgeable and experienced in air conditioning and ventilation systems in a range of climate types for a range of non-residential Government building types. Ideally your experience includes hospitals and allied health services. You are a team player with a positive attitude, contributing to our culture of collaboration, professionalism, and integration. You have experience in developing technical advice and guidance for institutional customers to apply throughout their portfolios of buildings. You are a person with the experience to confidently make considered, good judgements for the greater good.
