About The Role:
The Investigations Officer / Senior Investigations Officer undertakes audits and investigations to ensure taxpayers pay the right amount of tax and only receive grants in accordance with their entitlements. As part of the audit/investigation process, you need to ensure that the taxpayer has a clear understanding of their obligations and how they can comply with RevenueWA legislation. In this role, you will write reports with final recommendations relating to the audit/investigation outcomes.

- has good research, analytical and problem-solving skills; and
- is a team player who can manage their own time and tasks effectively. Having experience resolving customer conflict and negotiating outcomes is beneficial.
A background in revenue or taxation is not essential. Applicants with transferrable skills are encouraged to apply. Training programs will be made available to successful applicants.

The Investigations Officer positions are criteria progression positions, these may be filled at Level 4 or Level 5.

Currently there is one (1) permanent full-time or part-time position available for filling. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the Agency within the next twelve (12) months on a full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed-term basis with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
The positions are structured such that if a person is appointed to the Investigations Officer position at a Level 4 classification, they will have the opportunity to be reclassified to a Senior Investigations Officer, Level 5 providing their behaviour and technical expertise have developed over a period of time to the extent that they can satisfy certain competencies at the higher level (i.e. reclassification is not automatic).
