Permanent, full-time appointment at our Broome Campus.
Lecturing staff employed in 2024 are eligible to receive an Attraction and Retention Incentive of $15,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at NRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in the location for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.

About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at North Regional TAFE in the delivery of the Heavy Vehicle Driver Training program. This particular program in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions is an expansion of the highly successful program operated from the South West, Mid West and Metropolitan regions and this program aims to:
- Provide employment opportunities for disadvantaged people, particularly Aboriginal people living in the Kimberley and Pilbara;
- Support the local economy by providing a trained, local heavy vehicle workforce; and
- Address the deficit in heavy vehicle driver training in the Kimberley and Pilbara region
To be successful, you will have the following…
- HR License or higher (HC/ MC)
- Heavy Vehicle Driving Operations skill set or relevant qualification/s in logistics and supply chain operations
- License to operate forklift truck (LF)
- Load restraint
- Capacity to attain DOT accreditation to assess HR licenses
- Capacity and experience to attain Worksafe assessor status for License to operate forklift truck (LF)
It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.
