About the role
We are seeking a
Manager Data &
Governance to manage service delivery and BAU
activities, overseeing the data governance systems and
processes, and driving effective and compliant use of
data across our
organisation.
This is an exciting
opportunity to contribute to transformation of our function.
Reporting to the Director Business Intelligence, you will play a key role in
our maturity journey and lead our team of data
specialists in the design, development, and
implementation of integrated solutions. This includes business process
improvement, re-development of the business engagement framework
and implementation of data engineering solutions. You may also contribute to
other BIU change management activities in relation to large
programmes of work such as implementation of HRPlus.
As a leader you will
foster a culture of
collaboration, and mentor your team to provide cohesive
specialist advice across business and technical domains
according to their operational portfolio.
Your ability to build and
maintain strong relationships with internal and external
stakeholders will be key in effectively liaising, consulting,
and negotiating.
Your responsibilities
include:
- Coordinating
innovative data management solutions for operational and
strategic decision-making.
- Managing
the CAHS Business Intelligence data warehouse for accurate
and timely data production.
- Reviewing
and implementing policy and legislative changes, including
privacy and information sharing.
- Facilitating
changes in data governance processes and undertaking
related projects.
- Collaborating
with staff on educational strategies for data management
and governance.
- Working
with ICT to develop coherent data management units,
focusing on KPIs, month-end processes, QA, and data
quality.
If you have extensive
experience in data management and governance, preferably within a
healthcare setting with strong leadership and strategic planning
skills then we would love to hear from you.
Proven experience in
managing complex data projects and initiatives will be of benefit
in this role.

The Business Intelligence
Unit offer a comprehensive reporting
service for the whole of CAHS, including Perth Children’s Hospital and
Neonatology (PCHN), the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
(CAMHS), and our community based services
(CACH).
Our team of analysts work
closely with senior stakeholders to enhance quality and operational
performance outcomes. Through in-depth data analysis, we offer
valuable insights for informed decision-making, strategic planning,
and benchmarking in areas such as workforce, performance, safety
and quality, clinical, outpatient and surgical services, as well as
finance and activity-based funding and costing.
Our responsibilities include
managing access to databases, workspaces and audiences for clinical
and operational data, providing a centralised repository for
reports and dashboards. In addition, we provide consultation, and
mentoring to teams, supporting them in building analytical
capability and to developing their own customised data analytics
tools.

leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western
Australia, as the State’s only dedicated health service for
infants, children and young people. CAHS comprises four service
areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental
