About the role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Lawyer and accredited Family Dispute Practitioner to manage the Legal Aid WA Family Dispute Resolution service. The position will co-ordinate and manage the Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) and Mediation Style Conference (Protection and Care) programs throughout Western Australia, act as a senior FDR Chairperson and Mediation Style Conference Convener and provide high level FDR and Mediation Style Conference advice, information and support to internal and external stakeholders.
About you
To be eligible to apply you will be admitted to practice law in Western Australia with considerable post admission experience in a range of family law matters, and be registered as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
You will also have a sound knowledge and understanding of professional practice standards, issues and trends relating to family dispute resolution practices and family law including child protection, and have recent experience in chairing property and parenting (family dispute resolution) conferences.
