About
the Acute Care & Response Team
(ACRT):
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is set to
transform its services in line with
ICA Taskforce recommendations.
The ACRT is a new service model, arising from the ICA
Taskforce. The team will provide a step up in intensity of
service to children and adolescents experiencing a crisis or
deterioration in their mental health. This will include
assessment, safety planning and short-term stabilisation,
planning for ongoing care, and supplementary care for
children with severe and enduring mental ill health to
provide the care the child needs in a community setting
reducing the need for hospital presentations. The
East ACRT will provide a service to children
and adolescents who live in the eastern region of the Perth
metropolitan area.
As mental
health conditions can deeply impact the emotional and social
well-being of children and their families, our holistic and
child-centered approach is designed to assist families and is
focused on participation and engagement.
As a
clinician on the team, you’ll be required to conduct home and
community visits during business hours and on a rostered basis,
including after hours and on weekends, based on operational needs.
You’ll be part of a team that prioritises patient and staff
safety and receive training and ongoing supervision.
We are also
seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Specialists and
Clinical Nurses to be part of the team.
