Position Profile and
Role
We are seeking Senior Social Workers to join our
multi-disciplinary teams at the Community Child and Adolescent
Mental Health Service (Community
CAMHS) providing compassionate support, expertise, and guidance
to infants, children, and adolescents with severe and persistent
mental health concerns and their families.
Our
Community CAMHS Clinics locations provide access to services
and convenient transport improve your daily experience of coming to
work:
- North Region Pool – Clarkson,
Warwick, Hillarys, Shenton
- East Region Pool - Bentley, Swan
(Midland), Armadale
- South Region Pool – Peel (Mandurah),
Rockingham, Fremantle
As a senior social worker, you will apply
advanced social work skills to conduct bio-psycho-social mental
health assessments and screenings and in consultation with the MDT
provide therapeutic interventions and case management. You
will work closely with the young person and their families and
liaise with other health professionals and community agencies to
support the young person’s mental health and
wellbeing.
You will be an integral part of our supportive and collaborative
team and play a key role in helping our patients establish
practical and attainable goals, promoting the highest level of
function in various aspects of their lives. Your role will also
include clinical supervision of other social workers and students
as required.
Please note a tertiary qualification in Social Work and
eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of
Social Workers is a requirement for this role.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
(CAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice
and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years
who are experiencing mental health challenges.
Our multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals includes
psychiatrists, speech therapists, clinical psychologists,
occupational therapists, social workers, and clinical nurses. CAMHS
adopts a holistic and child-cantered approach.
CAMHS offer a comprehensive array of services including
specialist counselling and crisis management, advocacy education,
liaison, and referral to other services.
