Position Profile: Join our dynamic team at the Child and Adolescent Health Service, where we are actively recruiting experienced nurses to deliver exceptional specialized care to infants, children, and young individuals in the Emergency Department of Perth Children's Hospital (PCH).
As the exclusive State Paediatric Trauma Centre in Western Australia, we offer flexible part-time and full-time shifts, providing an opportunity for skill development in a leading tertiary environment.
Paediatric experience is not essential, we value your skills, knowledge, and recent experience in acute settings. You will be supported in your transition to paediatric nursing with a dedicated training, preceptorship, and collegiate support.
We are actively seeking Registered Nurses with a minimum of 2 years' experience who:
- Thrive in a team-oriented work culture.
- Possess a current Advanced Life Support certificate.
- Demonstrate experience in an Emergency Department or Critical Care setting.
- Ideally, hold a Graduate Diploma in Intensive Care or Emergency Care (desirable).

This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:
- The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
- Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
- Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/07/2025.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
