Appointment Pool

Corporate Information Services is seeking to establish a pool of Records Officers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of January 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within 2024, up to the end of January 2025.

The Records Officer position is responsible for scanning and indexing hard copy and electronic files and documents, and processing records for offsite storage or disposal, in accordance with the Department’s records management policies and procedures.

Records Officers may be required to travel to both metropolitan and regional schools throughout Western Australia. The position involves heavy lifting and manual handling of boxes.

Eligibility and Training Requirements

Employees will be required to:

  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
  • hold a current C class driver’s licence
  • undertake travel within the metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia
  • complete training in manual handling
  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
  • complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
  • complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment

The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.

Applications must be submitted before 4.30pm (WST) on  Wednesday, 24 January 2024.

Lodgement is system generated. Any submissions at, or after, 4:30pm will not be accepted.
