This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at 30.40 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile: The Child and Adolescent Health Service are seeking a motivated and dynamic candidate to join our Keeping Kids In No Distress (KKIND) team at Perth Children's Hospital.

The successful candidate will assist Allied Health Therapists within the KKIND team with the provision of therapy programs and interventions, performing related activities including procedural support and resource development under the therapists’ direction. Reporting to the Coordinator Occupational Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing treatment areas and equipment for children and families.
  • Assisting clinical staff during child assessments and treatments
  • Assisting with play and intervention activities as requested by the therapist as part of a therapy or group program.
  • Liaising with clinical staff to ensure achievement of service goals.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to case discussion.
