Appointment Pool
We are committed to providing students with a high standard of education through engaging, contemporary teaching strategies and programs while maintaining a focus on student wellbeing as a priority.
Woodlands Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Primary and Early Childhood Education Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
Our school offers an inclusive, positive learning environment with a focus on four priority areas outlined in the school’s 2023-2025 Business Plan; student achievement and progress, quality teaching, student wellbeing and community engagement.
Our embedded PBS program ensures that the values of possibilities, respect, belonging and humanity guide student behaviour, support restorative practices and sets the school and community expectations for a positive culture and a commitment to developing the whole child for success in life beyond school.
Contemporary, effective whole-school approaches to teaching, collaboration in phase of learning teams and whole school programs underpin the expectation of consistency and sequential learning programs. Literacy and Numeracy Blocks incorporating a whole-school lesson design have been recently updated to reflect current best practice. Use of NAPLAN and PAT data supports teacher judgements on student achievement and progress. It is an expectation that applicants will be capable of and committed to tracking student progress and adjusting teaching plans to meet the needs of students to improve learning outcomes.
