We currently have a Permanent Full Time position available to fill.

Position Profile: The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) are seeking a suitably experienced and dynamic leader to join our Acute CAMHS team.

As the Coordinator Social Worker, you will lead and co-ordinate the services of the social work profession including the co-ordination of the professional supervision of staff and the promotion and maintenance of professional standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a specialised social work mental health service using a range of appropriate evidence-based interventions requiring advanced knowledge, experience and competence within a multidisciplinary and professional team context.
  • Acting as an expert resource and first point of contact for social work matters and provides specialised consultation, education and supervision on complex mental health disorders in children and adolescents to both internal and external services and practitioners.

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State’s only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). Consisting of over 5,500 employees, our services are delivered at PCH and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), as well as across a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.

Eligibility: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
