24 month casual appointment pool

We are establishing an appointment pool for vacancies that arise up to 24 months from the first appointment.

Appointments will be made on a casual basis.

Suitable candidates will be placed in the appointment pool from which opportunities may be offered as vacancies arise. Candidates may also be considered for similar positions within South Metropolitan TAFE as they arise during the life of the pool. If the appointment pool is exhausted prior to the pool expiry date, we reserve the right to supplement the pool through further advertising.

About the role
This position assists the Senior Library Technician to provide a quality information service to South Metropolitan TAFE clients.  The role is also responsible for delivering library orientation programs and conducting in-library training and information programs for staff and students as well as operating and maintaining effective library systems. 

To be successful in this role you will ideally have a Diploma of Library and Information Services or equivalent, or significant progress towards completion, or significant experience in a Library environment with well-developed customer service skills and the ability to relate effectively with people of all levels and backgrounds.
