This is a Fixed Term Full Time position for 5 years.

Position Profile and Role:  

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking an outstanding individual for the position of Executive Director - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) who is committed to leading and managing change across multiple levels. You will focus on delivering high quality health outcomes and meet the future expectation of stakeholders, including the CAHS Board. An opportunity to contribute to decision making on whole of health issues as a member of the CAHS Executive Team is on offer.  

The ability to perform collaboratively in a senior leadership team, identify and manage risk, and achieve strategic and operational priorities for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service  (CAMHS)  is an essential requirement for the successful candidate.   Working within a multidisciplinary environment encompassing services based in the Community and within Perth’s only dedicated Paediatric Tertiary Environment, the successful candidate will be responsible achieving excellence in healthcare.  

Candidates will need to possess skills and experience across the following areas:

  • Strategic Leadership and Accountability
  • Communication, Consultation and Engagement
  • Specific skills relevant to Clinical Services and Operational Responsibilities
  • A commitment to Governance, Integrity, and Safety and Quality.

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State’s only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). Consisting of over 6,500 employees, our services are delivered at PCH and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), as well as across a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.
