Join the Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery Division (OMTID) of the PTA where we are responsible for managing the delivery of complex, high value, high risk public transport infrastructure.
About the Role
During this time of exciting opportunity and transformation, OMTID is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Projects Requirements Manager. This role will ensure the technical interface and requirements management is implemented and managed by projects within the Public Transport Authority (PTA), as defined by ONRSR guidelines for major projects.
Reporting to the Director Technical Services, this role is pivotal to providing technical specialist advice and assistance to the PTA’s project teams relation to Scope of Works and Technical Criteria requirement specifications in the application of the ELM and the requirements management tool (DOORS Next),
To be successful in this role, you have:
- Possession of an appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Substantial experience in the use and administration of an engineering lifecycle management solution and / or requirements management tool.
- Extensive technical writing skills and comprehension ability in a requirements management and development lifecycle tool environment.
- Substantial experience in writing and editing high level technical documentation in a requirements management and development lifecycle tool environment.
- Experience in interpreting operational design specifications and technical documentation to convert into requirements using an engineering lifecycle management solution and/ or requirements management tool.
In addition to the technical requirements, we are looking for suitable applicants who can demonstrate highly developed interpersonal communication skills, including an ability to develop rapport and work collaboratively with key stakeholders. In addition, demonstrated experience in managing the performance of teams and resources in the achievement of agreed outcomes is essential for this role.
There is currently one (1) full time, fixed term position available for immediate appointment until 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the Agency within the next twelve (12) months on a permanent or fixed-term basis with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
