There is currently one (1) permanent position available for filling from this recruitment process. Suitable applicants from this process will be placed in a pool from which temporary and/or permanent appointments may be made. The pool will operate for a period of twelve (12) months from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.

The Department of the Premier and Cabinet supports the Premier as head of the Western Australian Government. The Department is a central agency that leads the public sector in providing advice and support to the Premier and Cabinet in their service of the Western Australian Community. Data Analytics and Insights is an interdisciplinary team tasked with improving how the public sector uses evidence to make better decisions and policy. We work with a broad range of agencies and tackle the State’s most complex social, health, environmental and economic issues. About the Role

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals with a passion for achieving outcomes to join us.

This is an engaging and multifaceted job with opportunities to work with a broad range of stakeholders, assist with establishing a new function, and get involved with projects that shape decisions in government. Data or research skills are not required, we are looking for someone who is organised and happy to work with people. 

As part of this role, you will get to:

  • work across agencies to support research projects in accessing government data,
  • provide advice and assistance to researchers, community service organisations and government, and
  • identify pain points and develop clear communications to resolve issues.

You will work with a team of dedicated and talented public servants who will want you to succeed in your role and have a real passion for improving outcomes in the sector and the community.
