The Role
The primary responsibility of the Information Services Officer is to deliver corporate information and records management services to the Public Transport Authority (PTA) including services related to the classification and indexing of records, file creation and retention and disposal of records. The incumbent will also provide informed records management advice and support to PTA staff, and contribute to the daily functions of Information Services to deliver quality customer service.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A demonstrated commitment to delivering quality customer service.
- A minimum of 12 months of relevant experience in records management activities, ideally within a government agency. Activities include classification and indexing of records, digitisation of physical records to technical specifications, and application of retention and disposal practices.
- Sound analytical skills, including the ability to identify and resolve problems and exercise initiative – particularly in relation to classification and indexing of records.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
There is one fixed term, full time opportunity available until 28/03/2024 with a possible extension and/or permanency. Applicants must also have the ability to lift archive boxes to a maximum of 16kgs.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
