ICWA is a State owned Government Trading Enterprise that provides motor injury insurance to almost two million Western Australian motorists and manages the self-insurance arrangements of the Western Australian Government.
Generating $1.5 billion in annual revenue and earnings, and with total assets of approximately $7 billion, ICWA is a substantial self–funded statutory authority.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this position is a strategic leadership role with accountability to develop and implement the Commission’s strategic initiatives to deliver contemporary technology and services. As CTO, you will be accountable for preparing, maintaining, and delivering the Commission’s ICT Strategy, maintaining the Enterprise Architecture, and providing ICT security, infrastructure, data analytics and software development services and solutions. In addition, the CTO will drive the improvement of digital services for the organisation and its stakeholders.
As a member of the Executive at ICWA, you will bring proven capabilities in leading and managing a complex ICT environment of existing systems and new technologies. You will have experience building a team culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
To be a strong contender for this role, intending applicants must be competent in successfully developing ICT strategy, including management of cyber security risks, together with outstanding project leadership skills. You will have a strong achievement orientation, able to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, have highly developed communication skills, and an interpersonal style that engenders trust and respect. Ideally, the CTO will also have a strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for IT, digital operations and privacy.
