The Role and our Branch
The Business and Customer Services (BCS) Directorate is looking to recruit a highly motivated, energetic and committed Senior Records Officer to join the Corporate Information Services branch.

The Senior Records Officer is responsible for supervising the Department’s records operation functions (capture, archiving and disposal), in accordance with the Department’s policies and procedures.
The position supervises staff, undertakes creation of records using an electronic document and records management system (EDRMS), and provides advice and direction to customers to ensure compliance with recordkeeping policies and procedures.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- hold a current C class driver’s license
- complete training in manual handling
- undertake travel within the metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
