Transit Officers are the first responders to a vast majority of incidents on the urban rail network. They have a professional demeanour and remain calm when faced with challenging situations. Transit Officers provide quality customer service to our passengers and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of everyone on our network.

Being a Transit Officer is an often-demanding but ultimately rewarding role that has fantastic pay and conditions. You’ll be part of a large team of law enforcement professionals working across the Perth metropolitan rail network accommodating 40+ million rail boardings per year.

We have a pipeline of METRONET projects underway including the Yanchep rail extension, the Thornlie to Cockburn link and the Morley-Ellenbrook line which are all in the design and construction phase.   • Psychologist interview and medical assessment: 2 – 18 July 2023

The Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA) is responsible for the operation of all bus, train and ferry public transport services in the greater metropolitan area under the Transperth brand. It also operates public transport services in regional centres, operates road coach and rail passenger services to regional area under the Transwa brand, and administers School Bus Services (SBS).
