The Role

As part of a team dedicated to developing the PTA’s workforce, this newly created Perth-based position will play a key role in implementing, supporting and coordinating the PTA’s new Safety Development Program, including:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the Program
  • Ongoing coordination and administration of the Program
  • Providing ongoing coaching, direction and support to Program participants and other stakeholders.

The position would ideally suit someone with considerable experience in rail safety (or Occupational Safety and Health) and relevant knowledge of Rail Safety National Law 2015 (WA Act) looking to take the next step in career. In addition to your strong commitment to safety and passion for mentoring and developing others, you will also have great interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Please note:

  • Whilst this is a full-time position, part time appointment (0.8 FTE) may be considered for the right candidate.
  • This is a fixed term position for up to 30 June 2025, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
  • This selection process will initially be used to immediately fill the above fixed term full-time position, however applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
