This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
There is one (1) permanent, full time vacancy available for filling from 24 April 2023. Appointments are eligible to be made over the life of the pool, to March 2024.

Position Profile:
The Strategy, Policy and Planning (SPP) Directorate is looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals to join the management team. The pool will be used for managerial roles in SPP span; the Office of the Executive Director, Sustainable Health Implementation Support Unit, System Policy, Planning and Risk Unit, Health Navigator and Child Safety Programs.
This pool is to establish suitable candidates for managerial vacancies across SPP over the next 12 months – specifically, driven individuals who are interested in leading WA health system strategic and reform priorities and support transformational change across the WA health sector. Roles will lead and empower teams, and provide advice to the WA health system executive, partners and stakeholders.
SPP managers will lead and oversee all aspects of project development and implementation across a portfolio of highly complex multi-disciplinary projects. This includes preparing business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance, identifying, allocating and managing resources, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line with the established agency project management methodology.
Managers will also require demonstrated experience in financial, business and human resource management, and ability to provide expert strategic advice regarding current, evolving or emerging issues to facilitate executive decision-making and support achievement of organisational and broader government objectives.
Project management experience in the context of WA or other health sectors is desired, but not essential.
One permanent, full time vacancy is available in the Office of the Executive Director from April 2023.

- Highly developed management and leadership skills, with demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary programs/projects at a strategic level, identifying interdependencies and leveraging resources to maximise efficiencies and achieve organisation outcomes.
- Highly developed critical, conceptual, and analytical thinking, including the ability to make decisions and develop solutions to complex problems.
- Provision of expert strategic advice and information including
- preparation of high level reports, briefs, business cases and project plans, including complex confidential information, issues and priorities; and
- effective written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal and negotiation skills to building and enhancing stakeholder relationships, influence, and facilitate co-operation and support.
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial, physical and human resources, including interpreting financial data and understanding financial reporting procedures, and leading and empowering teams.
