This is a permanent, full-time vacancy.

About the role

The Farm Instructor will be responsible, under the direction of the Senior Farm Supervisor, for the management, control and work output of the prisoners under his/her control.  He will have constructive interaction with prisoners with regard to the philosophy, aims and objectives of the prison and production undertaken on the farm.

Eligibility

Possession of an accredited vocational qualification at Certificate III level or above in farm management and/or rural development operations or approved equivalent.

Possess a current valid manual class “C” motor vehicle driving licence.

Possess a current valid First Aid or Senior First Aid accreditation from an accredited training provider with a minimum of 12 months validity remaining.

To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.

All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.
