2. Responsible for coordinating property management team priorities;
3. Oversees procurement and management of planned and unplanned maintenance contracts for leased and non-leased properties where there is no managing agent and ensures compliance with National Trust procurement and record-keeping policies;
4. Works with the conservation and interpretation/collections team as appropriate;
5. Liaises with property volunteers caretakers, lessees, external property managers and the National Trust in relation to property management and maintenance issues;
6. Assists with insurance requirements (including claims, Certificates of Currency, questionnaires and assessments) associated with properties;
7. Undertakes site visits, including regional properties, as required;
8. Responsible for the Risk Management/Work Health Safety/Security matters at National Trust places;
9. Responsible for the development and management of budgets for property management and maintenance, including incurring and certifying payment of accounts, ensuring the recoupment of costs as per lease agreements; and
10. Other duties as directed by the CEO.
Essential: 1. Demonstrated ability, experience and knowledge in property maintenance; 2. Demonstrated ability, experience and knowledge in Western Australian procurement policies and procedures; 3. Demonstrated ability and experience in inspecting properties for conditions, defects, repairs and needs withing accepted conservation practice; 4. Demonstrated ability and experience managing issues, monitoring properties for risks and utilising risk management systems; 5. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of building construction, materials, equipment and plant; 6. Demonstrated experience and knowledge with Work Health and Safety and safe work practices; 7. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to programme and plan cyclical maintenance systems; 8. Demonstrated ability, skills and experience in financial and budgetary management; 9. Demonstrated high level communication skills, including written and verbal skills; 10. Demonstrated information technology skills, including the use of MS suite of software, particularly the use of Excel and outlook; 11. "C" Class Driver's Licence; and 12. National Police Clearance.
Following an initial 12 month fixed-term contract, with a six month probationary period, subject to satisfactory performance and financial viability, a longer term extension may be offered. Permanency in the future will be considered subject to Clause 11 of the Premier's Circular 2018/02.
