The position
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality and timely information services to client groups consistent with the Department's strategic directions and objectives.
Working in the law library managed by the Legal Services Branch, you will play a key role in promoting available information services to clients and nurture networking relationships appropriate to the delivery of good quality customer service. You will plan, develop, coordinate and continuously improve services, including resources, policies, systems, technologies and processes to support the provision of information to clients.
We are currently looking for customer focussed candidates who have experience working in a special or government library preferably with experience using relevant Library software. You will also have excellent organisational skills to efficiently manage competing priorities, and highly development interpersonal skills to communicate, and negotiate with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
This position is located in Perth, located directly in the middle of Perth’s CBD, you will be just steps away from public transport and nearby City of Perth parking. You may need to work at other sites as required.

What are we looking for?

- Experience in the management of a special or government library.
- Well-developed organisational skills to manage a number of competing work priorities and meet deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including skills in communication, negotiation and consultation.
Please note: Proof of your Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science (Library and Information Studies) or Graduate Diploma in Library Studies will be required before any employment offer.
